GPS Location:

Waterfall Height:

40 feet

GA Hwy 36 crosses a bridge over Potato Creek, a major tributary of the Flint River, west of Thomaston. A series of gradual sliding-type waterfalls known as Potato Creek Falls lies just below the bridge, about 200 feet wide and with a total of drop 40 feet. However, you can't see much from the bridge besides a fleeting glimpse of the waterfall's brink. Whitewater kayakers sometimes float down the falls, but there is no land access due to private property on both sides. This is the lower of two waterfalls along Potato Creek.
