Quartet Falls
Lake Russell Wildlife Management Area
Stephens County
Toccoa, GA
GPS Location:
34.51110, -83.40815
Waterfall Height:
50 feet
A wet-weather waterfall on a small tributary of Big Leatherwood Creek, Quartet Falls drops about 50 feet in multiple tiers, much of which are hard to see due to overgrowth. This waterfall was once easy to access from the old route of the Leatherwood Creek Trail, but this portion of the trail was rerouted and decommissioned. Today, reaching Quartet Falls requires a very challenging bushwhack through an overgrown forest recovering from logging operations. This one is only for the hardcore waterfallers.
