Rabun Bald Falls

Chattahoochee National Forest

Rabun County
Sky Valley, GA

GPS Location:

34.97444, -83.31467

Waterfall Height:

50 feet

On the northwest slopes of Rabun Bald, an unnamed tributary of Mud Creek forms an impressive 50-foot waterfall. Known as Rabun Bald Falls, this waterfall sits off-trail in a lush, rainforest-like setting near Sky Valley. Aside from some deadfall at the base, it is especially nice in wet weather. Rabun Bald Falls can be accessed by a steep 0.3-mile bushwhack through mainly open woods from Forest Road 413, which is part of the trail system from Beegum Gap leading to the summit of Rabun Bald.
