Ramp Cove Falls
Swallow Creek Wildlife Management Area
Towns County
Hiawassee, GA
GPS Location:
34.89985, -83.67536
Waterfall Height:
40 feet
A wide, steeply-sliding waterfall about 40 feet high lies on a tributary of Dismal Creek draining Ramp Cove. The lower part of the cove is private land. The only access option is to bushwhack over Cut Locust Ridge from Dismal Creek. The base of the waterfall is full of deadfall, so this one is probably only worthwhile to hardcore waterfallers.
To learn about more waterfalls in the Hiawassee area, see chapter 7 in Mark Ozboyd's "Waterfalls of Georgia" guidebook.
