Rest Stop Falls is a small 8-foot waterfall located just off the Pear Orchard Trail on a small stream joining Big Leatherwood Creek. Located in a thick rhododendron thicket, this is more of a picturesque cascade than a true waterfall but is worth a stop along the trail. The Pear Orchard Trail passes Rest Stop Falls about 0.3 mile beyond the larger Mary Steele Falls. This trail is part of the Frady Branch trail system.
