Georgia's Trusted Local Source for Waterfall Explorations Since 2018

Rice Camp Falls

Cohutta Wilderness

Fannin County
Chatsworth, GA

GPS Location:

34.94268, -84.58511

Waterfall Height:

40 feet

Located in the upper reaches of Rice Camp Branch, 40-foot Rice Camp Falls tumbles over a set of large cliffs. It's a challenging waterfall to view all at once, as downstream views are partly obscured by downed trees. Although the Rice Camp Trail follows Rice Camp Branch well downstream from the falls, the most direct off-trail route is from the East Cowpen Trail. Expect an extremely difficult wilderness bushwhack through widespread storm damage, as well as areas overgrown with dense shrubbery and thorns.
