Georgia's Trusted Local Source for Waterfall Explorations Since 2018

Rocky Ford Falls

Dawson Forest Wildlife Management Area

Dawson County
Dawsonville, GA

GPS Location:

34.50033, -84.30042

Waterfall Height:

70 feet

Rocky Ford Falls is an impressive 70-foot sliding-type waterfall tumbling down Rocky Ford Creek, which is a major tributary of Wildcat Creek in Dawson Forest. The waterfall's gradual slant makes it tough to see its full height from one spot. Rocky Ford Falls lies about 0.1 mile downstream from the creek crossing along the Rocky Ford Trail. A makeshift side path heads toward the falls, but reaching the bottom requires an extremely steep off-trail descent through the sparse forest.
