Rogers Branch Falls

Swallow Creek Wildlife Management Area

Towns County
Helen, GA

GPS Location:

Waterfall Height:

80 feet

How about a spectacular hidden waterfall just down the road from High Shoals Falls! At 0.9 mile to the south of the High Shoals trailhead, Indian Grave Gap Road (FR 283) crosses a culvert over Rogers Branch. About 0.2 mile downstream, this inconspicious stream drops over a towering 80-foot waterfall known as Rogers Branch Falls. Rogers Branch is a tributary of High Shoals Creek, so the watershed here is smaller. The falls will be more impressive during a wet spell.

A well-used car camping site lies along Rogers Branch just downstream from the road crossing. From here, one can follow a makeshift scramble path faintly descending the south side of Rogers Branch to the base of the falls. This is a steep, rugged scramble and is best for agile and fit hikers.
