Skullface Falls

Coopers Creek Wildlife Management Area

Fannin County
Blue Ridge, GA

GPS Location:

34.77869, -84.13353

Waterfall Height:

20 feet

Skullface Falls is the uppermost of the three off-trail waterfalls found along Little Skeenah Creek. This steep 20-foot slide is located another 0.1 mile upstream beyond Skeniah Falls. To reach it, simply keep bushwhacking through semi-open forests along the creek from Skeniah Falls.

About halfway between Skeniah Falls and Skullface Falls, a small wet-weather tributary joins from the north. This tributary is home to a low-flow, wet-weather waterfall dropping over a 30-foot cliff. Morgan Kephart, who documented every waterfall in the Little Skeenah valley, calls this intermittent drop Phantom Falls due to its vanishing nature. The GPS coordinates for this drop are 34.77908, -84.13504.
