Taylor Shoals Falls is the third of five beautiful waterfalls along Stekoa Creek. It lies in the lower Stekoa Creek gorge, about three miles from the Chattooga River confluence, and is the uppermost waterfall on the section of Stekoa Creek flowing through public lands. This 30-foot waterfall is an impressive, powerful drop squeezed through a picturesque rock gorge. At the top of the falls, expansive bluffs provide views of the creek rushing into the waterfall's precipice. Meanwhile, a high-volume run of stairstep shoals lies just upstream from the main waterfall.

Taylor Shoals Falls is accessed by a cross-country bushwhack from the end of Woodall Shoals Road (FR 290). The first part of the route follows a series of little-traveled old logging roads, which eventually devolves into a low-level bushwhack through open woods down to Stekoa Creek. This one isn't particularly hard as far as off-trail hikes go, but it's on the longer side at 1.4 miles each way.
