Tom Roane's Powerhouse Falls is the first and uppermost waterfall on Stekoa Creek. It lies in the privately-owned upper Stekoa Creek gorge, just north of the Rabun County High School and half a mile above 20-20 Falls. The historic ruins of the Clayton power station are located at the base of this waterfall. Tom Roane built this hydroelectric power station here in the early 1900s. In 1928, Georgia Power bought both Roane's electric company and power station, which was later abandoned. The waterfall lies on private property and is not open to the public.
