GPS Location:

Waterfall Height:
15 feet
Located in Tribble Mill Park below Ozora Lake, Tribble Mill Falls is a beautiful set of gentle shoals sliding down an expansive granite slab into a shallow pool. Pavement-like flatrock slabs of granite stretch well away from the falls on both sides. Clumps of mosses and lichens are scattered throughout the expanses of rock. In the fall, the granite is home to bright yellow swaths of blooming Stone Mountain daisies, an endemic wildflower found only within a 60-mile radius of Stone Mountain.
The total height of Tribble Mill Falls is about 15 feet. Although one might consider this drop too gradual to truly be a waterfall, it's a very scenic spot and certainly a noteworthy one for this region of the state.
The ruins of Tribble Mill are located off to the right at the base of the falls. A flouring and corn mill operated here from the 1830s to 1950s, and the land only became a Gwinnett County park in the 1990s. Just above the falls, you can also see the stone remains of the mill's raceway.
Tribble Mill Falls is reached by an easy 0.4-mile walk along the Granite Shoals Access Trail, part of the Harris Greenway Trail system. Most of the trail is paved, but the final approach to the falls descends along the rolling slabs of granite rock.
