Georgia's Trusted Local Source for Waterfall Explorations Since 2018

Trophy Falls

Chattahoochee National Forest

Lumpkin County
Dahlonega, GA

GPS Location:

34.67210, -83.91399

Waterfall Height:

10 feet

Resembling a miniature version of Cannon Falls, Trophy Falls is a broad 10-foot waterfall on Frogtown Creek, featuring a deep pool at its base. This small but gorgeous waterfall lies about 0.1 mile above Cannon Falls. The public access situation here is identical to that of Cannon Falls. The east side of Frogtown Creek at the falls is private property owned by Cannon Falls Lodge, a secluded fly fishing retreat. Yet the west side of Frogtown Creek is public land part of Chattahoochee National Forest. The property boundary runs directly down the middle of the creek.

Reaching Trophy Falls via public land entails a difficult cross-country bushwhack route from Dicks Creek Road, with significant elevation gain. It's imperative for visitors to stay away from the east side of Frogtown Creek at the falls. The lodge owners have made it clear that their property is strictly off limits to everyone except guests. Remember, half of the waterfall is private, so please be respectful and leave no trace when visiting.
