Tugaloo Bend Falls

Chattahoochee National Forest

Stephens County
Toccoa, GA

GPS Location:

34.66334, -83.31665

Waterfall Height:

50 feet

A steeply-sliding waterfall about 50 feet in height, Tugaloo Bend Falls lies off-trail on a small unnamed creek north of Yellowback Mountain. Downstream, the creek joins another creek which is home to Yellowback Mountain Falls, before draining into the Tugaloo River in the Tugaloo Bend Park area. The waterfall is about 0.5 mile from the road and requires a tough bushwhack to reach. It is best seen in wet weather. Greg Ford documented this waterfall with a Facebook album in 2021 and referenced it as Jubilation Falls in the post.

To learn about more waterfalls in the Toccoa area, see chapter 8 in Mark Ozboyd's "Waterfalls of Georgia" guidebook.
