An underrated waterfall for families and beginner hikers, Tumbling Water Falls lies near the mouth of Tails Creek at Carters Lake. The waterfall drops 20 feet in a broad, sliding-type drop culminating with a deep pool. Lush hemlock trees surround this scenic gorge. A half-mile hike along the Tumbling Waters Nature Trail leads to an observation deck with birds-eye views of the falls. A suspension bridge then leads across the creek, where hikers can follow a pathway to the base of the falls.
