Upper Angelica Falls
Chattahoochee National Forest
Rabun County
Clayton, GA
GPS Location:
34.91977, -83.56412
Waterfall Height:
25 feet
A 25-foot sliding waterfall, Upper Angelica Falls is the uppermost of three waterfalls along Plumorchard Creek. The waterfall lies about one mile upstream from Angelica Falls and just below the Plum Orchard Road bridge over the creek. Thus, I've referred to it as Upper Angelica Falls out of lack of other names. However, I've also seen folks call it Upper Plumorchard Falls because it's the uppermost drop on the creek. From Plum Orchard Road, a faint path follows the north side of the creek above the falls. Reaching the bottom entails a brief but rather annoying scramble through forest fire debris with no clear path.
