Upper Gizzard Creek Falls

Tray Mountain Wilderness

Towns County
Hiawassee, GA

GPS Location:

34.83281, -83.67108

Waterfall Height:

25 feet

Upper Gizzard Creek Falls is a 25-foot sliding waterfall located about 0.15 mile upstream from the smaller Gizzard Creek Falls. An additional sliding tier lies just above the lower part of the falls. Gizzard Creek is a notable tributary within the upper Corbin Creek gorge. There is no trail up this valley, so access entails a tough bushwhack from Corbin Creek Road (FR 698). In Greg Ford's Facebook album, this waterfall is referenced as White Ribbon Falls.
