Murray County
Chatsworth, GA
GPS Location:
34.75961, -84.71131
Waterfall Height:
20 feet
Located along the Big Rock Nature Trail, Upper Goldmine Creek Falls is the best known waterfall at Fort Mountain State Park. The waterfall is a frequent destination for guests staying at the park's nearby campground and cabins. It's also the uppermost of three waterfalls along Goldmine Creek. Upper Goldmine Creek Falls tumbles over a 20-foot stairstep drop, which is especially scenic in wet weather. Although the waterfall is small, its location at the halfway point of an easy 0.5-mile nature trail makes it an appealing spot to visit.
