Georgia's Trusted Local Source for Waterfall Explorations Since 2018

Upper Ramey Creek Falls

Chattahoochee National Forest

Rabun County
Dillard, GA

GPS Location:

34.94661, -83.33967

Waterfall Height:

25 feet

About 300 feet upstream from the beautiful Ramey Creek Falls, Ramey Creek tumbles over another 25-foot waterfall known as Upper Ramey Creek Falls. This smaller yet scenic upper waterfall is much harder to reach than Ramey Creek Falls, for the path does not continue upstream. Admittedly, Upper Ramey Creek Falls is taller than it might appear from the picture. Perhaps the best way to reach it is by returning to the Darnell Creek Trail. Keep going for another 0.1 mile and then find a spot to bushwhack down to the creek through the rhododendron. The rhododendron is pretty thick around both waterfalls.
