Georgia's Trusted Local Source for Waterfall Explorations Since 2018

Upper Rogers Branch Falls

Swallow Creek Wildlife Management Area

Towns County
Helen, GA

GPS Location:

34.80389, -83.72701

Waterfall Height:

100 feet

Located in the headwaters of Rogers Branch, this impressive wet-weather waterfall slides 100 feet down a steep cliff on the northeast slope of Rocky Mountain. The watershed is much smaller here than at Rogers Branch Falls farther downstream, so I suggest this waterfall is best seen after heavy rain. Upper Rogers Branch Falls lies about 0.25 mile above Indian Grave Gap Road (FR 283) and can be reached via a short, steep bushwhack down from the Rocky Mountain Trail. This waterfall has also been identified as Capstone Cove Falls in Facebook posts by Greg Ford.
