Upper Soquee River Falls
Tray Mountain Wilderness
Habersham County
Helen, GA
GPS Location:
34.79279, -83.65047
Waterfall Height:
30 feet
Upstream from Soquee River Falls, the Left Fork Soquee River continues flowing through a rugged gorge with a variety of small waterfalls. The largest and most scenic waterfall here is the 30-foot Upper Soquee River Falls, tumbling through a scenic crevice. It is located about 0.1 mile above Soquee River Falls.
Accessing Upper Soquee River Falls entails a very difficult bushwhack along steep, overgrown gorge slopes. This part of the bushwhack is even more rugged than the cross-country hike from Odis Barron Road to Soquee River Falls. There are no obvious signs of foot traffic above Soquee River Falls.
