Georgia's Trusted Local Source for Waterfall Explorations Since 2018

Upper Tufa Falls

Crockford-Pigeon Mountain Wildlife Management Area

Walker County
LaFayette, GA

GPS Location:

34.71052, -85.34888

Waterfall Height:

50 feet

Upper Tufa Falls is a 50-foot waterfall on Waterfall Branch, located northwest of the Blue Hole spring. It lies about 300 feet upstream from the similarly-sized Lower Tufa Falls. Waterfall Branch likes to flow underground throughout most of the year, so the waterfall is largely dry except after heavy rain. However, even in a dry spell, this waterfall is interesting because of its unique tufa deposits. Access requires bushwhacking from the Blue Hole.
