Upper Vandiver Branch Falls

Chattahoochee Wildlife Management Area

White County
Helen, GA

GPS Location:

34.77820, -83.78063

Waterfall Height:

40 feet

A steep tributary of the upper Chattahoochee River, Vandiver Branch is home to a pair of seldom seen off-trail waterfalls. Upper Vandiver Branch Falls constitutes a fairly tall, multi-section series of waterfalls, but much of it lies obscured by storm damage. The clearest part of the waterfall is about 40 feet high. Although it lies just below Chattahoochee River Road (FR 44), reaching the falls requires a short, tough bushwhack due to the lack of a path.
