Wolfpen Branch is a notable tributary of the Left Fork Soquee River with several waterfalls. Another 0.5 mile upstream from Hollow Rock Falls and 0.7 mile upstream from Wolfpen Branch Falls, the stream tumbles down a set of overgrown sliding drops. This upper waterfall totals a height of about 60 feet, though it is challenging to view from afar.
Intrepid off-trail explorers sometimes visit Wolfpen Branch as a side trip while hiking the unofficial path to Soquee River Falls. Reaching these waterfalls requires a very difficult bushwhack along an overgrown roadbed climbing up the Wolfpen Branch valley. The roadbed comes to an end beyond Wolfpen Branch Falls, leaving no trail to follow at all. Explorers will also pass a 20-foot cascading drop unofficially known as Mazy Rock Falls at 0.25 mile before Upper Wolfpen Branch Falls.
