Georgia's Trusted Local Source for Waterfall Explorations Since 2018

Walden Branch Falls

Crockford-Pigeon Mountain Wildlife Management Area

Walker County
LaFayette, GA

GPS Location:

34.72596, -85.35866

Waterfall Height:

25 feet

At the north end of Pigeon Mountain, Walden Branch contains a 25-foot sliding waterfall, which is best seen in wet weather. Although the stream is low flow, it's surrounded by lots of interesting karst geology. The waterfall can be accessed via a 0.35-mile off-trail walk upstream from where the Estelle Mines Trail rock hops Walden Branch. The crossing lies just south of the Estelle Mines Road terminus.

Note: A Georgia Lands Pass, Hunting, or Fishing License is required to use this land. The license costs $15 per person annually and can only be obtained online at www.gooutdoorsgeorgia.com or at certain retailers.
