West Cochrans Falls

Chattahoochee National Forest

Dawson County
Dahlonega, GA

GPS Location:

Waterfall Height:

80 feet

West Cochrans Falls is an impressive series of waterfalls located on a western tributary of Cochrans Creek, tumbling steeply off the same escarpment as Cochrans Falls. The main drop of West Cochrans Falls is a broken free-fall about 80 feet in height. Other, smaller drops lie above and below it. This watershed is smaller than that of Cochrans Falls, so West Cochrans Falls is best appreciated in wet weather. Accessing it requires a steep and difficult bushwhack from the Cochrans Falls Trail.
