Albert Shoals (South River Falls)

Picture
Waterfall Info: Albert Shoals is a 1/4 mile long section of rapids along the South River. Just downstream from the Klondike Road bridge is a small but broad, high-volume waterfall on the South River that is part of Albert Shoals. I've seen this specific drop called South River Falls. Some might treat it to be a stretch to consider this as a waterfall, but I think it's impressive enough to be listed on the site, especially given its location in Metro Atlanta flatlands.
Landowner: Rockdale County Greenspace
Height: 6 Feet
Type: Rapids
County: Rockdale/DeKalb
Access Info: Start from the Rockdale River Trail greenway parking area along Daniels Bridge Road. After a short walk, you'll reach a high voltage powerline cut. A well-used side trail leaves through the powerline cut to the South River and shortly arrives at the falls.
Waterfall Location:
33.626220, -84.126860
