Beegum Falls
Waterfall Info: This is a large set of drops on Beegum Branch where it steeply drops into the Corbin Creek gorge. The upper and middle section are quite scenic with good flow, while the lower section is covered up by deadfall.
Landowner: Chattahoochee National Forest (Swallow Creek Wildlife Management Area)
Height: 60 Feet
Type: Series of Sheer Drops and Sliding Cascades (Multi-Tier)
County: Towns
Access Info: There are a couple ways to access this waterfall. One is to follow the unofficial trail along the old logging road that begins at the end of FS 305 and follows Corbin Creek (this is the access to the waterfalls on Queen Branch). The old logging road continues following Corbin Creek, fording it a third time at the confluence with Little Net Branch before passing below Beegum Falls. The logging road looked very clearly with minimal deadfall and overgrowth around Queen Branch, but I have no clue if it becomes more overgrown and/or impassable further downstream. The other way to reach Beegum Falls would be to be park along Corbin Creek Road (FS 698), follow a gated forest road to a wildlife opening in the upper reaches of Queen Branch, and then bushwhack cross-country to Beegum Falls. If you choose this route, it's best to reach Beegum Branch above the falls and bushwhack downstream from there.
