Big Thunder Falls

Picture
Waterfall Info: This unique waterfall is the lower of two waterfalls on Clear Creek (a major tributary of Overflow Creek). It's the only classic example of a slot canyon waterfall that I know of in Georgia. In normal flow, it's very hard to get a good view of the falling water inside the canyon.
Landowner: Chattahoochee National Forest
Height: 35 Feet
Type: Sheer Drop (Single-Tier)
County: Rabun
Access Info: This waterfall is accessed via a strenuous bushwhack along a decommissioned section of FS 86B and a creek-walk upstream along Clear Creek.
Waterfall Location: 34.995317, -83.215467
