Eureka Falls
Waterfall Info: This is the upper of two waterfalls on Dodd Creek above the popular Raven Cliff Falls. It is a large set of scenic ledge-type cascades and is actually a more impressive waterfall than appears in pictures.
Landowner: Chattahoochee National Forest (Raven Cliffs Wilderness)
Height: 50 Feet
Type: Series of Stairstep Cascades (Multi-Tier)
County: White
Access Info: To get to this waterfall, you will want to follow a rough scramble path to the top of Raven Cliff Falls past the end of the official Raven Cliff Falls Trail. You will want to cross Dodd Creek above the falls, after which the path peters out. The rest of the route is off-trail, but a combination of creek-walking and easy bushwhacking will bring you there without too much effort. The distance is about a quarter-mile. The most difficult part is getting around Parnassus Falls on the River Left side of the creek, as you will need to work around a small cliff and through a rhododendron thicket. Be advised that the scramble to the top of Raven Cliff Falls involves very rugged and potentially dangerous terrain, and casual tourist hikers who have come to see Raven Cliff Falls must not continue further.
