Homestead Falls
Waterfall Info: Located upstream from Filmy Fern Falls, this scenic waterfall is on an unnamed creek, which feeds a larger unnamed creek that houses Filmy Fern Falls and feeds into Davidson Creek immediately upstream from the reservoir. In between Homestead Falls and Filmy Fern Falls is a scenic 12-foot drop called Grand Shoals (about a quarter-mile above Filmy Fern Falls), see photo below.
Landowner: Chattahoochee National Forest
Height: 40 Feet
Type: Free-Fall & Cascade (Double-Tier)
County: Habersham
Access Info: There are two ways to access this waterfall, both from the gated Pumping Station Road. The first, shorter way is to follow an overgrown old logging road west from Pumping Station Road to the creek, starting directly across from the FS 214 gate, and then, to follow faint paths along the creek south to the falls. The second option is to simply follow the creek upstream from Filmy Fern Falls on the River Right (east) side through mostly open woods and faint paths.
