Hope Diamond Falls

Waterfall Info: This is the second of four waterfalls located on Holcomb Creek in its headwaters, a short distance above White Diamond Falls. This gorgeous waterfall sits at the north end of a long awe-striking bluff line, which stretches for over a quarter-mile across the Holcomb Creek watershed (starting at Jewel Falls). The bluff line reaches its best at Hope Diamond Falls, where it carves out an enormous grotto in front of the falls.
Landowner: Chattahoochee National Forest
Height: 30 Feet
Type: Free-Fall & Sheer Drop (Double-Tier)
County: Rabun
Access Info: This falls is accessed by a strenuous cross-country off-trail hike from Hale Ridge Road (FS 7). There are various old logging roads and paths that can be utilized most of the way, and the path becomes more obvious as you get closer to the waterfall. Once you reach White Diamond Falls, a well-defined path steeply climbs up the south side of the creek to Hope Diamond Falls. Also, an old forest road that leaves at a sharp curve in FS 7 above Holcomb Creek is a good starting point for the hike. I highly recommend using a GPS to navigate to the falls as well as the directions at the link below.
Waterfall Location: 34.98183, -83.29170
