Iris Falls
Waterfall Info: This is a small but scenic waterfall at the 2,600-foot level of an unnamed tributary of Popcorn Creek that flows down the southeast side of Little Bald Knob. About 1/2 mile upstream, at the 2,800-foot level, is another small drop that is mostly enshrouded in rhododendron and not worth any effort.
Landowner: Chattahoochee National Forest
Height: 20 Feet
Type: Sheer Drop (Single-Tier)
County: Rabun
Access Info: Iris Falls is directly along an old logging road that follows the south side of the stream from FS 163. The old logging road continues directly to Upper Iris Falls, which is not worth any effort, but the walk through the woods is nice. FS 163 is a very rough forest road that begins at Turkey Gap along Highway 76, and it may only be drivable for high-clearance vehicles with four wheel drive.
Waterfall Location: 34.90795, -83.59126
