Jewel Falls
Waterfall Info: This is the lower of two spectacular waterfalls located on an unnamed creek flowing from the west in the Holcomb Creek headwaters. Best seen in wet weather.
Landowner: Chattahoochee National Forest
Height: 60 Feet
Type: Sheer Drop and Free-Fall (Double-Tier)
County: Rabun
Access Info: This falls is accessed by an cross-country off-trail hike from Hale Ridge Road (FS 7). It is not easy as there is challenging route-finding and some bushwhacking involved. A path from FS 7 leads to a crossing of Holcomb Creek, from where you might find a faint path or need to bushwhack the knob just east of Jewel Falls. A faint path, possibly marked by flagging tape, leads from the knob to the base of Jewel Falls. Do not attempt to follow Holcomb Creek to Jewel Falls as the vegetation is impenetrable.
Waterfall Location: 34.980887, -83.288650
