Lower Fall Creek Falls (Waterfall No. 4 on Fall Creek, Buice Falls)
Waterfall Info: From the top, this is the fourth waterfall on Fall Creek, which is a major tributary of Wildcat Creek. Hiking the Wildcat Creek Trail from Wildcat Campground, it is the first waterfall you'll see, and the one that gets the most visitors. At one point, the name Buice Falls for this waterfall gained notoriety, because a home-made Buice Falls sign had appeared at the falls. The sign is now gone, and I have no idea of its origin, but I am strongly skeptical of the name's legitimacy.
Landowner: Dawson Forest Wildlife Management Area (Wildcat Creek Tract)
Height: 25 Feet
Type: Sheer Drop & Short Free-Fall (Double-Tier)
County: Dawson
Access Info: Hike the Wildcat Creek Trail from the back of Wildcat Campground. The trail is mostly gentle with occasional brief scramble sections as it follows the edge of Wildcat Creek. Stay straight on the Wildcat Creek Trail after the junction with the Turner Trail. Just before a normally wet crossing of Wildcat Creek, the trail changes its name to Fall Creek Trail. On the other side of the crossing, an unmarked but well-used side trail turns right and meanders for a quarter-mile to Lower Fall Creek Falls.
