Lower Rhododendron Falls
Waterfall Info: This is the lower of two very scenic waterfalls on a small stream that drains the north side of Chenocetah Mountain. This stream is a west tributary of a slightly larger unnamed stream that enters Lake Russell near its north end. This waterfall is best seen in wet weather, as the watershed is tiny.

Access Info: This falls is accessed by a tricky off-trail scramble straight up the creek from the Rhododendron Trail (which begins in the Lake Russell Recreation Area). You will need to first drop down the very steep bank from the trail where it is well above the stream. You will also need to walk in the creek-bed for the last 300 feet, maneuvering across several sets of slick rocks.
