Red Diamond Falls

Waterfall Info: ​This is the third of four waterfalls located on Holcomb Creek in its headwaters. Just above Hope Diamond Falls, Holcomb Creek splits into two forks. This waterfall is a short distance up the north fork while Peridot Falls is a short distance up the south fork. 
Landowner: Chattahoochee National Forest 
Height: 30 Feet 
Type: Sheer Drop & Slide (Double-Tier)
County: Rabun
Access Info: This falls is accessed by a strenuous cross-country off-trail hike from Hale Ridge Road (FS 7). There are various old logging roads and paths that can be utilized most of the way to White Diamond Falls and Hope Diamond Falls (see those listings for more information). Above Hope Diamond Falls, everything is strictly strenuous bushwhacking through heavy rhododendron tangles, plus creek-walking where possible.
