Sanderlin Falls

Picture
Waterfall Info: This scenic wet-weather waterfall is located on a tributary of Rocky Ford Creek flowing off Sanderlin Mountain.
Landowner: Dawson Forest Wildlife Management Area (Wildcat Tract)
Height: 50 Feet
Type: Sheer Drop and Slide (Double-Tier)
County: Dawson
Access Info: From the side trail to Rocky Ford Falls along the Turner Trail, keep hiking the Rocky Ford Trail. Pass the Windy Ridge Trail junction in 200 feet, and in another 0.1 mile, reach a wet crossing of Rocky Ford Creek. On the other side, go straight on an unofficial side trail along an old roadbed (while the Rocky Ford Trail goes right). Follow Rocky Ford Creek 0.25 mile to a campsite. Then, immediately cross back to the south side of the creek. Follow the roadbed for another 0.3 mile to an unnamed side stream. A 15-foot waterfall is visible upstream. A relatively easy but steep 300-foot bushwhack past this drop will bring you to Sanderlin Falls.
Waterfall Location: 34.495667, -84.309836
