Stone Cove Falls

Picture
Waterfall Info: Stone Cove Falls is located on a small unnamed stream that drops down the east slope of Cowrock Flat before joining Town Creek at Six-Foot Falls. This stream is not marked on topo maps. Best seen in wet weather.
Landowner: Chattahoochee National Forest (Raven Cliffs Wilderness)
Height: 40 Feet
Type: Steep Slide (Single-Tier)
County: White
Access Info: Follow the Logan Turnpike Trail south steeply down into the Town Creek watershed from the parking area in Tesnatee Gap. As the valley levels out and the trail travels more closely to the creek, you will reach a small drop along Town Creek nicknamed Six-Foot Falls (see its listing for more details). The creek with Stone Cove Falls joins the opposite side of Town Creek at Six-Foot Falls. It is a short, easy bushwhack through mostly open woods to the falls. It used to be easier to access this area before the Logan Turnpike Trail was blocked off at its south end due to private property issues.
Waterfall Location: 34.708736, -83.852248
